I am the mother of six wonderful boys ages 16, 14, 11, 9, 6 & 2. And my husband and I are having a very hard time this year and are in need of help to get gifts for the boys this year. In March of this year we had a house fire and did not have insurance. We lost everything and have been trying to recover from that loss but my husband has leukemia and is unable to work so its been very hard. Everyone got out of the fire safely but out was very close. Two of the boys were still in the house when I thought everyone was out..at first I noticed my 9 year old was in there so I went back in for him and almost didnt make it out with him, my hair got burned and slippers were melting on the bottoms..and when I finally got him out I realized my 6 year old was still in the house and I knew I wouldnt make it to get him out I was already ready to pass our from smoke inhalation and I started screaming my babys in the house still and my 3 oldest boys tried to run in I grabbed the youngest two but my oldest pulled from me and ran in. He went in and got my 6 year old out by himself. If it wasnt for him I would have lost my 6 year old in the fire. I am so proud of him and can't stand the thought of not being able to give my boys a Christmas this year after them losing everything in the fire. We also found out 2 months ago that my husbands leukemia is getting worse and I just want him and the boys to have a good Christmas this year. Hes getting very depressed because hes not able to provide gifts for his boys this year. And not knowing how long he has I hate the thought of what Christmas morning will be like this year if we do not find a way to give them a Christmas.
